CRD Receives Four Excellence in Construction Awards from ABC Eastern PA
We are pleased to announce that all four projects entered in the Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s 2021 Excellence in Construction Awards competition received an award for quality construction.
The Hun School of Princeton – Best Institutional Project $5-10 Million
This project involved a complete renovation to the DAYLO STEM Center and Breen Performing Arts Center for The Hun School of Princeton, a private secondary boarding school in Princeton, NJ. The scope involved renovating 72,000 sqft of classrooms, laboratories, meeting rooms, a theater, tech room, scene shop, and dressing rooms, as well as adding a new foyer with a glass curtain wall system to the performing arts center. The project was designed by HDR, Inc.
The Quaker School at Horsham – Best Institutional Project $1-5 Million
This project involved constructing a 6,000 sqft addition for The Quaker School at Horsham in Horsham, PA. Built to accommodate a new high school program, the single-story structure houses classrooms, small group rooms, and offices. The project was designed by Blackney Hayes Architects of Philadelphia.
Private Residence, Doylestown, PA - Best Residential Project $1-5 Million
This 5,800 sqft modern prefab home consists of nine modules that were built in a controlled production facility in PA and then assembled on site. The home features energy efficient windows, a glass curtain wall system, thermal treaded wood cladding, oak flooring, a cedar sauna, and a smart control lighting system. The project was designed by evoDOMUS of Cleveland Heights, OH.
Private Residence, Chester County, PA – Merit Level - Best Residential Project $1-5 Million
This 9,700 sqft French country-style private residence features an open concept kitchen and great room with a round breakfast nook, exposed oak beams, and stone fireplace, as well as a smart home HVAC and lighting system, hand-tooled oak flooring, and an outdoor living area complete with a bluestone paver patio, in-ground pool, and pool house. The project was designed by Ambit Architecture of Philadelphia.
The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 21,000 chapter members. The ABC Eastern PA Chapter represents over 450 member companies. The Excellence in Construction Awards competition is ABC’s premiere merit shop awards program that highlights outstanding merit construction throughout the region.
